Hello Everyone,

I was just wondering what subjects/topics you find hardest out of C3 and C4 - and/or which exam papers you find easier...

and why

Thanks!

I find the hardest stuff the stuff they sneak in from C2 that I haven't done for a year. For example, those questions on rewriting, say, 4sin(theta)+3cos(theta) as Rsin(theta+alpha).

If by the which "exam papers" I find easier you mean which modules, then very few. C1, C2, D1, M1 and S2 are easier than C3 and C4 in my opinion, but with the amount of C3 and C4 you put into FP2 and M3, they seem pretty standard to me.

Practice.
I used to have a cheat sheet with me when I would revise C3/4.
After a while you start memorising it all without realising.

Excellent advice! Thanks edothero! I'm trying to use little cards with rules and identities on one side and questions on the other...

I find the best way is to apply logic. For example, you can easily convert the cos^2(x) + sin^2(x) = 1 into 1 + tan^2(x) = sec^2(x). After a few times doing that calculation, you start to remember it and if for whatever reason you forget it, you can just do it from your already existing formulae.

C3 - once I get warmed up (as in do 5 or 6 papers), i can easily score 65+
C4 - same situation but so far I am only getting 55+, hopefully near exam should score 63+

S1 is what i find most difficult due to they way they word the question. Did M1 last year so straight forward, with S1 I need English Language A-level to understand some of the sneaky questions they put in.
