New Draft A Level/AS Level Specifications GeographyWatch
From a quick glance through the specifications:
Fieldwork is back in and hopefully will mean skills and applied Geography will be taught better especially around forms of data presentation and GIS, as GIS is very much coming into jobs in the Geography sector now more so than it has been for a long time and universities have found that understanding of GIS has been weak to non-existent from home students even though they should of done some. Also found that fieldwork has been weak and hopefully that will improve. Win for the universities and win for preparing people to go to university and even if you don't do geography at uni it will help people.
lot more focus on current issues and technologies in Geography
be better split for exams
