Im planning on going there myself in September. Seems like a decent uni to study! The open day was awesome and there is a few new things being built ready for this years freshers. However i recommend you dont go to uni and drop out of college to concentrate on your fifa videos  hahahah

I have a few friends there who love it, they say that the social life is great and unbeatable.

On the education side of things, it wasn't good for me which is why I did not choose to go there (This is for Forensics and Computing, I wanted to do Software Engineering but this was the closest offered and UWE was a university that I previously really wanted to go to). Reasons are that they were very disorganised in the open day, and had very little to say (lots of awkward silences when introducing the course and such).

However my friends that go there seem to be doing great on their courses and they love the lifestyle at UWE so providing you know that the university will be good for your particular course then I don't think you could go wrong with picking UWE. Bristol is a beautiful city. However very expensive.

I'll do whatever it takes to live in a city thats has good student life haha. My current university is Hertfordshire and the town is literally so boring that there's nothing much to do. However, the good thing is that it's close to London.

It's quite a huge university, they were doing a lot of construction work and rebuilding when i was there so had to do a lot of walking, very quiet area. Do you care much about other things such as teaching quality as well? cuz in terms of facilities, i don't think UWE was that impressive to me, I used to do my Business Administration BA course at Hertfordshire and they had 24/7 library plus modern gym, restaurant and swimming pool right next to the business school as well. Are you looking to study anywhere in particular?

Yeah, but student life is particularly boring. The uni itself is descent, but the town is very lonely and depressing, there is nothing much you can do besides visiting a small nearby mall and buying groceries in Asda.

The Uni from what ive heard is decent. Ive heard the odd one or two stories about people having bad courses or having terrible lecturers but then again that probably happens in most universities. Ive been there and its a pretty big campus. Construction is currently going on for September where they're providing a brand new building for people to live in amongst other stuff. The halls, classes, labs, libraries, cafes etc seemed awesome when i was there. Up to date stuff, colourful and full of friendly people. My course leader and my course seemed pretty fun so i cant wait! Im not so sure about the surrounding area but realise the campus (Frenchay) is only a few miles on a bus to the city centre which isnt bad provided the buses are decent.

Seems like a fun university to me. The student life seems really good as well. I have been to Bristol for a night out and i have to say its one of the best nights out ive had

Just went to the open day, it was ****ing awesome. The Facilities are impressive and i really liked the accommodation there. Not to mention, the town centre is absolutely amazing and I enjoyed my trip over there! However, the library was a total letdown, as I got used to the insanely huge library at my current uni(hertfordshire). Other than that, it was all good and I'm really tempted to accept their offer

Awesome! I wouldn't let the library put you off, i thought it was decent for what it was but then again i dont know what its like in comparison to other uni's like the one you were at. You want to be quick if you want accommodation though. They start sending out offers in the next few weeks and the apply date was a while back so im unsure that you will get your first choice. What accommodation was this on btw Frenchay? Goodluck and maybe ill be seeing you at freshers this September!
