GCSE English Language WJEC

Hello guys,

I got A in my controlled assement with my percentage being 86%. What mark would I need to get in the english language exam, in order to get an A? And does anyone have any tips to get an A?

You'll need an A I think, as I think coursework is only 25%

Would you know the mark for an A?
28 on each paper (not combined) for an A I think, 34 for an A*. At least this has been the case in previous years, but as we all know grade boundaries can change so nobody can be certain.

Usually it changes between 26 - 32 marks for an A.
WJEC is an exam board that doesn't change the grade boundaries too much. It roughly stays the same.
June 2011 was 26, 2012 was 26 then it was 28 in 2013 and 26 in 2014. As you see, it changes between 26 - 28 marks. However, we cannot guarantee what the grade boundary for an A will be this year. However, it shouldn't exceed 32 marks, as you'll need to get 80% in the exam to guarantee an A grade.
