I was wasted the other week... and my mouth just dried up - I tried getting a Smirnoff to get rid of it- but that did nothing... so I started drinking water for the rest of night, which my friend behind the bar provided for free with loadsa ice seeing as I knew her

Do you think its alright if i drink water when i go out clubbing tonight? I am usually drink a lot of alcohol and have a great time.

But just thinking, does anyone just have water and still have a good time?

my best mate does it quite a lot.....you can go out and have a really good night sober, if your prepared to put up with drunk people.

You can normally get water and ice free... I only know one Manchester club that insisits on you paying for bottled water.

I think it's voluntary.

I don't drink often, but the couple of bars I go to occasionally give you water free. I always drink water as well if I'm drinking alcohol - it counteracts it slightly, and it certainly makes sure you feel better in the morning.

I can't figure out if I've spelled 'occasionally' right. I've been doing this all day. Weird ...

I don't, but then I don't feel thirsty (in a non-alcoholic way  ). I do however drink several pints of water the day following any heavy night's drinking though. Some people try to drink one pint of water for every pint of beer to stop a hangover, but I think all that fluid would just make me queasy.

some places only sell bottles of water at £2.50 each. I really don't think thats right.

Most of the places i've been to in London charge for water. I usually try to alternate water with alcohol to get the best of both worlds.

Yes, I think it´s OK if you go clubbing sober. You should drink water anyway while you´re drinking alcohol, so you can just leave the alcohol out tonight.

I always drink two pints of water before I go to bed after a night out and it does wonders. I don't usually drink water in the club tho
