Hi,

I'm just wondering if any knows of a good revision guide for GCSE Music.

My school didn't have one and I want to get one so I can look over the stuff cover at GCSE.

For those who don't know, I have decided to take Music A level next year but I didn't do GCSE Music.

I did a few tests in school last week to see if I will be able to cope next year.

My performance was fine and so was my sight reading. (18/20 and 17/20)

Listening was ok but there is room for improvement. (14/20)

But my composing was my downfall - the music teacher needed ear plugs because of all the wrong notes (5/20 - 5 for effort!)

Overall, I felt I was ok. I knew composing would be terrible and so did my teacher because I have not done much before.

Once I go back to school, he has offered to do extra lessons with me after school but I want to get started learning some stuff and actually compose something which doesn't sound like cat singing - something easy like a pavane.

Any help finding something to help me would be deeply appreciated!

Okay, from the silence I take it nobody knows of a revision guide.

After posting the first post ^^^, I tried to compose something on Sibelius 2 and I came up with something which sounds ok.

I have uploaded it using the scorch plug-in at

http://members.lycos.co.uk/musicalsite/

It has a crap name - I know. But could someone give me a opinion on it?

I wanted to show my teacher today but he's ill.
