Wait, hang on... what are you asking? Which would be the best university academically or the best prospects for a high percentage of black people?

As for Kent there's a fair few black people, not a huge amount but it wouldn't be like you're the only one there. Dont know about the others.
Thanks. I'm asking both questions. But I'm fully aware that they contradict each other. I'm perfectly aware that black people do less well academically. I'm looking for a healthy balance. Where I'm from there is a low percentage of people entering high education.
I think Kings 2 but I doubt I 'll get in.

It depends on what "prospects" you're after, and what you want to gain personally from your time at university.

I'd say that, from your list, the 'best' university from an academic reputation point of view is probably King's, followed by Kent. I'd say that wherever you go, you'll find a diverse student mix both in terms of ethnicity and a whole hoard of other factors.

Not that any of this matters - if you think that any university will give you prospects without effort from yourself, you're heading for disappointment. University offers you the opportunity of good 'prospects', but you get out of it what you put in. Fancy putting in nothing? Then it's a waste of time going to uni and saddling yourself with debt. Fancy making the effort - go for it; have a look at the various unis and go with your gut feeling - you'll have to live there for the next three years!

how can you say that black people do less well academically? Thats a nasty stereotype and i'm surprised that it came from a black person. don't generalise.

I've seen a fair few but it's like the whitest area I've ever stayed in! Back home most my friends weren't white, here everyone is!

So chances are they've already graduated. I wonder where the OP went in the end, and whether there were any black people there. This thread is like a time capsule
