My status in Durham's track has been changed to " received by a college " last Saturday and I just got my offer in a letter earlier this evening although my Durham's track and UCAS track have nothing changed yet.
Reply 245
Yea mine haven't changed as of yet despite receiving a letter... I guess it will just take a while...

Well doooone  Happy days.
Does anyone know if offers given out over Christmas? I'd guess they aren't, but I'm still hoping

My application is at a college and I'd really like an offer just so I know it isn't a mistake

Thanks

Yeah, my application went to college last week, but obviously, as it's Christmas time now, I haven't heard anything more yet!

I have no idea when my status changed.. xD just checked it before and after Christmas period and it was different v__v; guess I'll just sit tight and wait.
Sorry if I'm missing something but I looked and couldn't find an answer - what's 'Durham track'? Is this something different from UCASTrack?

Thanks.

Durham track is on the durham website. The Durham applicant enquiry service or Durham aes (I think)
you should have had a letter about it.
do a search for durham aes in this forum and you should find out more about it.

As Aula says. It tells you in more detail where your app is, although it sort of lies

www.dur.ac.uk/aes
Thanks very much - I'll check it out now.

Wish Durham would hurry up and just send me something... x__x;
frustrating. I sent my UCAS application off on the 3rd October, they said they received it on the 9th.
I received my Durham Track AES details in the first week of December :|
My status hasn't updated at all... I'm still at the stage where:

Your application has been received by the department.
Your department has not yet been received by a college.

I called them up and someone reckoned they don't 'grade' either the Combined Honours in Arts or the Combined Honours in Social Sciences degrees until after the January deadline! How sucky is that!? Psh. If you ask me, if people leave it as late as January to fill in their application, they're lazy and don't deserve a place, especially not at Castle.

Grrrrrr. What the hell? Well at least we can expect something soon.
so if it says the dept hasn't rec'd your application yet. They haven't given you an offer or accepted you but if it does go to a dept then you deifnately have an offer??

No. If it says a college has received your application, then it's most likely that you're going to be made an offer/be invited for interview.

Being received by the department means that your application is being looked at.
