I got an offer on track but my AES thing still says "Your application has not yet been received by a College"

Anything to be worried about?

No, track can sometimes be slower than UCAS. If it's on UCAS track - you're in! Well done

I sent of my application early December - and I still haven't gotten anything from Durham. Should I be worried? I'm climbing on the walls here, I can't even log in to Durham Track!

Don't panic. With the Christmas back-log and the application deadline your track details are probably waiting to be sent to you. Wait until mid-February and if you still have had no letter, maybe ring them. To be honest the Durham track is more trouble than it's worth! Good luck

Thanks Reblet - I'm gonna calm down, get some tea and patiently wait for my letter.

Mmm tea.
I sent mine in October.. still nothing, and it is not joint offers.
No news is good news at the moment though I guess

And I thought I no longer had to check UCAS because Durham track updated first, and UCL interview before an offer... now I sill have to check UCAS as sometimes it updates earlier lol

oh dear. Does this mean i'm up for rejection?
No...it just means they haven't made a decision (I think).

Like he would read the answer if we gave one...
*le sigh*

This isn't a question, just a general annoyance at Durham. I'm sure it must be the slowest university anywhere ever!

Is there anyone who received an offer from another university after their Durham one? Durham just has to keep us waiting...

Yep. Many places keep people hanging on for ages. I think York did that to me last year...
Look around and a few people have "pending" in their signature from lots of other unis besides Durham. Poor Durham doesn't half get some stick. Just because it gets so many applications... I'd hate to be in charge of admissions... imagine all the e-mails...
I think Durham gets so much hassle because it seems to be top choice for a lot of people applying there. I can't handle the pressure!

The admissions people have secretaries that do lots of the stuff for them.

Like sending the same replies over and over again to applicants... I wonder if they have template e-mails...

Send them a question that cannot be replied to with a template email, it works. What also can help is using the personal email addresses, as opposed the department ones.

Haha what question would be entirely original?

"My personal statement used too many verbs, will this be held against me?!"

Something personally relating to you. Like optional modules that you can take.

But to be honest 90% of the queries will be the same. The same sort that appear on this forum every day. It would drive me scranny.
