But to be honest 90% of the queries will be the same. The same sort that appear on this forum every day. It would drive me scranny.

It does not take too much effort to hit the forward button.

Ok I just checked my Durham application status for the first time and it said that my application hasn't even been sent to a college yet...is this worrying? I sent my application off 3 months ago!!

Well its not a rejection, so no! means theyre still considering it. Mines been like that for two months so I know how it might see, but its not a rejection!
Reply 283
No. Being sent to a college is a sign of being accepted (generally) and so you're in the waiting pile.

My offer didn't come for four months - don't worry! Durham is worth the wait
Mine's still in the waiting pile too. :frown:

JUST HURRY UP AND DECIDE! Fed up of it now lol.

I'm applying for biological sciences. Yeh I've had 2 letters. Both saying 'we're still going through the applications'. I got really excited when I saw th second one and thought it was a decision at last....alas they were merely goading me with another acknowledgement

The swine!
Mine got sent to college today  woop woop

Makes the UCL rejection I also got today feel slightly less terrible.

At least 4 out of 5 want me!

Hi,

Today, when I logged onto AES for the first time, it said my application had been received on Jan 19, 2008. SHOCK. I added Durham as a choice before the deadline of Jan 15.. What does this mean?! Does this mean I'm not up for equal consideration, even though I really was on time?

Please tell me others have had the same. If you don't, then lie to me. Anything to get rid of the negative adrenaline. =/

Thanks.

You will be fine, it just means that UCAS passed it on late (there is a delay between putting it the UCAS system and the uni getting it passed along). Although you best email the admissions tutor to be safe, and explain your situation.

Ok so I just received my Durham track details today and my status says:

"Your application has not yet been received by a College"

The thing that confuses me is the YET. Does that mean that it WILL be received by a college or is it just a slightly ambiguous way of saying that the department hasn't made any kind of decision yet?

I think I'm reading way too much into it but that's all I have at the moment
Don't worry, I'm in the same situation! I think they send your application to a college when they've decided to give you an offer

Correct.

KiwiBaby, I'm afraid that's what it always says when the department is still making a decision.
