but i thought you don't get taught by your college???

Yes, but they have a system of proportionality, so that all subjects are fairly represented by having an equal presence (or thereabouts) at each college.

Also, when you think of it, it wouldn't be fair - applications are graded in different orders - maths and History ones are looked at way before courses like Combined Honours in Arts (which I applied for), which would mean that the more popular colleges would be filled with the earlier graded subjects.

I'm pretty sure it means the department have decided to make you an offer and now they just need to find a college to take you. Well done.

Congrats OP

Does anyone know if it's possible, after receiving an offer, to change your college? How difficult is this?

Email admissions and ask. If there's spaces for your course at the college you're interested in it should be possible. Why do you want to change your college?
I thought I was cool getting an offer and all, and I went to the Durham AES tracker thingie, and it said nothing about being transferred to a college, does that perhaps mean...

I'm not going to assume, but like, Durham Track can go awry at times right? Right?

congrats on the offer, it would be too cruel of ucas to have made a mistake. however, i'm sure you'd feel happier with a letter in your hand eh?
still waiting for combined arts, and wishing i hadn't looked up the offers percentage on the uni site:frown:
Still, it's all character building stuff.

My dream is to study in the UK  .
I wanted to go to 6th Form and not finishing lycée, but my dad disagreed, and told me "Passe ton bac d'abord". So I hope I'll get my Bac and then, I go to the UK ^^ (and hope I'll get an offer from Durham, but I don't count on it ...)
Anyone know - If my application still hasn't been received by department does that mean i'm doomed???

I just think they're quite long to send applications XD. They should at least look at every applications before rejecting students.

Oh no ... :frown:
It went worse than I imagined, lol.
Actually, the interviewer started in French and I felt completely lost as I prepared myself to speak English for about 20min, lol. Then she wanted me to speak Russian, and I couldn't. I was so stressed to fail my interview that it went even worse then. I told her I wasn't able to speak Russian and I can't remember what happened then, just that I said "au revoir", switch off my phone and cried for 10 minute before taking a book and read.

But life goes on, I shouldn't complain, I have 3 great offers and there are people that were rejected by all of their choices.
