Use speed = distance/time
Then look on the graph for distance and time, and substitute it in

I tried that but I can't seem to get the correct answer? Could you try the last question and tell me what answer you got please?

Ok one second

EDIT:
E) 20/0.5=40km/h
F) 20/(2/3)=20*3/2=30km/h

Start of return journey is 11:10, end is 11:50 so time taken is 40min

Time = 40min = 2/3 hour (need correct units)

Distance = 20km

Speed = Distance/Time = 20/ 2/3 = 30km/h

Omg thankyou so much! Your answers are correct, could you just explain how you went through each stage i was confusing myself. How did you get 0.5 etc. i appreciate this so much because its very likely that it'll come up

Thankyou for your reply but the answer says it is 40km?

Sorry, only checked TSR now.

It was 0.5, as the journey took 30 minutes (from doing the time she reached take away the time she started)
30 minutes in hours is 1/2 (or 0.5) as you have to put it in km/h so the units have to kilometres and hours.

For the second one, I got it was 40 minutes by using the graph so 40/60 = 4/6 = 2/3
Then you substitute the distance which is 20

20 DIVIDE 2/3 so to divide fractions you find the reciprocal of the 2nd one and multiply it instead, so it becomes 20 MULTIPLY 3/2 = 60/2 = 30
