By we I was referring to the critical mass of decision makers and the supporting public at the time. Hitler was just one man. A figurehead on top of a pyramid of hatred and ignorance. Lets not use him as a scapegoat to avoid our own culpability.

I wouldn't take my suggestion too seriously, or at least with a pinch of thought. It was meant to trigger debate. The hate comment was my attempt to avoid mindless reactions based on the rejection to confront the ideas expressed.
