I'm too lazy to read any earlier messages. :colondollar:

I think I want to firm JM. How many choices do I have? What else to put down for accomodation for second, ..., etc choice

You need to make 5 or 6 preferences.

If you firm JM, then:
You cannot have Arthur Vick or Benefactors as they are 30 week en suites.

You must choose at least 4 of the remaining:
One of Heronbank or Lakeside (39 week en suites lets)
Cryfield
Rootes
Tocil
Westwood
Whitefields

Read the guide in the first few pages if you want guidance :p:

5 or 6 preferences. :eek3: Might aswell apply to every campus accomodation they offer. :mmm:

Seeing as you're at Warwick already and at JM. Which would you pick? Heronbank or Lakeside? :hmmmm:
Might pick Lakeside.

Also on the warwick accomodation site when filling out the form. They have Area* but my town is really small :indiff: Do I just write my town in there too?
do undergraduates have to pay a £250 deposit? I thought I read somewhere that we did but on the website it only says about postgraduates.

I'd rather live in Rootes and Tocil than live in HB/LS. Westwood/Cryfield/HB/LS would slot somewhere after in some order.

Don't know much about Lakeside, as no one in the first year lives there at the moment :iiam: Lakeside was built in 2000, Heronbank is 2003.

I can't remember if I had to pay a deposit for Warwick accommodation. I definitely knew I had to pay for one for LSE because I got them to pay it back. Hmmm.

I doubt it. But I'll wait for someone else to reply and I'll update the thread sometime.

They just want your address to send your offer to.

Well there's a box for everything else like city, postcode etc...

I gotta fill in the Area box but my town is really small....I don't really have different areas. It's not London. :colonhash:

What to do

Just put a space :mmm:

Oops just realised accommodation had opened...i'm sure I read somewhere it wasn't first come first served - am I right?
Lakeside is nice, I know someone there. I'd pick it over Heronbank

It's not first come first served

Thread updated

I've edited the guide to reiterate that accommodation is not first come, first served.
hey guys, quick question....I currently have a house on hold...supposed to sign the contract somewhere at the start of June...however Im now begining to change my mind....thinking about not going ahead with it (£380*11months @ Leam) and applying for campus accom for next year instead...not really bothered which one (although prob not lakeside)....is going on the waiting list a bit risky in your opinion? I know it says that it all depends on other people declining their offers etc....but realistically...what are the odds of me having to franticaly house search in the summer and by when will i know for sure that i have to search for something?

Well they allocated final year undergraduate accommodation in December - there have been 5 months since people have been applying to the waiting list so chances are slim. Why not email Warwick accommodation for their opinions? They would have better knowledge of how long the list is at the moment.

ouch. wasn't aware its been that long. never really considered campus as an option until recently :frown:
edit: just did what you said and emailed them.
Hey there! I've always wanted to go to rootes until recently  Which of the en suite accommodation is the best apart from JM and AV? Is Benefactors any good? Is it sociable?

In Benefactors you will know most of the 70 people living there. Mainly because of the integral common room. So yes, it's very sociable and least risky as there are so many people you can bond with.

I did a post a few days ago on what I think of Benefactors. Didn't live there so this is what I've observed.

Is Benefactors or Rootes better then? And many thanks for your help!
I'd go for Rootes. I have friends in both, and overall the Rootes people have a better time. Benefactors can either be amazing or hellish. Not usually something in between. Rootes is much more chilled out!
