Is Benefactors or Rootes better then? And many thanks for your help!

I'd still go for Rootes. Benefactors kitchens are minuscule and there's 24 people meant to be cooking there. The common room is literally a tip as well. I mean, there's a table for dirty plates.

It's great if you know someone who lives in a shared room because before or after a night out you can go there - there's so much space you can fit 10 or more people there, as long as your roommate doesn't mind.

Also on the warwick accomodation site when filling out the form. They have Area* but my town is really small :indiff: Do I just write my town in there too?

I'm still having great difficulty deciding my preferences for slots 2,3,4 & 5.

When it says, do you want a quiet hall?

Just how noisy are the non quiet halls... ?

FML I'll edit it out of the guide.

First year undergraduates do not need to pay a deposit.

i wouldn't worry too much if i were you with that cambridge offer...

Haha I wish I could think like that too but the A* is looking very unlikely for me!

Well it depends on Warwick Accommodation's definition of a quiet hall. I might in October try and get people to fill in one of those 'Firm/course/offer' things for 'Halls/course/quiet area' just to improve the guide for next year and see if there is any significance.

See my post a few weeks ago for my thoughts on it.

Thanks, Im still not sure whether I want a quiet or noisy hall, but the post was pretty useful.

Personally I think your idea for the guide next year is a good one also

There already is a guide in the first 4 posts of this thread: link. Just that there can be improvements on what options to select for what halls. Although if there is little correlation I may make no results, as this may affect who applies to what and change the dynamic of the hall.
Man, deciding whether it's worth the extra for en-suite is HARD :/

I'd say it's probably not. It's not like you spend THAT much time in the bathroom anyway, and there's rarely queues in most halls with shared facilities. However if you generally prefer the look/feel of one of the ensuite halls then by all means go for it. Just be aware that the value for money is relatively poor.

My decision in deciding whether to go for en-suite or not was a simple one. Read some of the horror stories on here of people's shared bathroom experiences. :afraid:

Also for peace of mind knowing that whenever I want to go - I can go.

Well, uh, point taken, but I'd imagine that the crimes against hygiene mentioned by the other guy were told to him/her by people who were also at Warwick :<

Can anyone help me?
I have registered for the accomodation form, and have my username and password, as well as verifying my email, however when I try to log in it says that my username/ password are not recognised.
Thought I might have typed my password in wrong, so I reset it, but still no luck.

Help appreciated asap.
