Have you tried using a different browser? Have you tried clicking Continue to see if it will accept a blank entry?

Hey all!

I'm a EU PG student. I just got an offer for Claycroft. Any thoughts?

I'm still not sure whether to accept it or find a non-campus accommodation.

Last year, I was in a en-suite flat accommodation at KCL, I just absolutely hate it because my flatmates where like ghosts or unfriendly.

I lived in Claycroft last year and loved it. Then again, I was in a block of first year undergrads so of course it was fun

It's a good standard of accommodation, but it is a gamble as to whether or not your flatmates are any good - I got lucky. I think most PG accommodation is bound to be much quieter than UG though.

Did you have any problem sharing the bathroom? (any pictures please:p: )
Did you socialise with people outside your flat?

Thanks!

They must have changed it this year, because last year there were definitely first year students living in Claycroft.

First year students aren't in Claycroft this year. They like to switch it up a bit (actually I think they did it last year as a trial - whatever they wanted to test it didn't seem to work). The accommodation situation for 2010 is the same as 2008, I believe.

georgia gave pictures and they're in the first page of this thread :h: Don't recall a bathroom though :erm:
Are the beds typically single sized in all the accomm?

Okay thanks

I don't know much about Warwick so I hope you don't mind me asking you a few questions!

Is there a shopping place near Warwick uni apart from the little thing with Iceland in it? (for clothes shopping and stuff)

How far is the train station from the uni?

And are there regular buses to coventry and back near to the campus?

Also with regards to something like 12 people to one kitchen. . . . I hope the kitchens aren't too small!

Shopping: Food it's Costcutter on campus and a small one in Westwood and then Tesco/Iceland/Cannon Park. Clothes: Only the place with Iceland in :p: You need to go to Leam or Cov city centre. There's also an IKEA in Cov. Birmingham could be a possiblity when you have a free day (12 to Cov, then train to B'ham)

Train station - by bus about 15-20 mins, take the 12 to Coventry. Alternatively take the 12 or U1 to Leamington Spa - takes 30-40 mins.

Take the 12 between Cov and Campus, it's £1.50 for single, £3.20 for day, £3 for evening saver after 6pm. Group saver for 3, 4 or 5 people at £7.50. Buses every 20-30 minutes or so (10 minutes during peak).

Kitchen - fridge space shouldn't be a problem, other than Benefactors :p: Kitchen sizes can vary - depends where you end up.

Yeah there weren't last year, like TheTallOne said. Claycroft is always a PG hall and I think always a finalist UG hall. I'm not sure but I remember someone I know who's just graduated telling me that it was freshers in 07 too.

I had no problems at all sharing the bathroom. You don't need an ensuite, and the bathrooms in Claycroft practically are ensuite anyway. I don't think I have pictures though...sorry!

And yep I socialised with plenty of people both outside my flat and outside my halls. If you get yourself out there involved doing things then you'll meet people who live all over and who study all kinds of things. You don't have to limit yourself to your flatmates and coursemates.
