Do you know what ATMs are there on campus?
Say, I want to open Lloyds account. Would I be able to withdraw money from ATMs on campus without any provision?

The 5 cash machines on campus (all in Union South) provide free cash withdrawals, at least for UK bank accounts.

Unfortunately you will not be given priority for a room on campus, which means is it likely you will have to live off campus. Perhaps Warwick accommodation will help you find a place or you could go with a private agent.

do you know what kind of houses Warwick accommodation will find for students? how's the quality and location?

wow...we have 5 cash machines? where all of them? i seem to recall 1-2 being outside opposite Rootes social...atleast one inside Atrium....another one outside the union (through the double doors?) and one inside the Union? didn't that one charge money for withdrawals?
How thin/thick are the walls? Basically, if I listen to music at a reasonable volume or play guitar (electric), will I get people banging on the walls telling me to turn it the f*** off?
Depends on which accommodation you're in. And also to a certain extent who you end up living with.

It's a possibility.

The walls are pretty thin...you can generally hear everything (and I mean everything lol). But first year many people are noisy, so they may not complain. Depends who you live with. You may not be popular if you play loudly in the early hours of the morning haha

Starting my day by blasting metal at full volume is a big no no then.

I hope I don't get a fat neckbeard who's addicted to masturbation in the room next door. Imagine lying in your bed late at night, trying to sleep, and there's a constant thumping to be heard from the wall behind you. *shudder*

I did hear people having sex a few times though lol
My Japanese flatmate's girlfriend made these really weird squeaky monkey sort of sounds! It was really odd. xD

yikes!!!!!how'd u deal with it????i bet you can't look at him in the eye without cringing or thinking about it:yep:
lol imagine having a gangbanged slut and a gossip girl (nice girl, but lotsa chatter could be heard) living on either sides of you. thankfully people seemed scared enough not to bother me about my music unless it was ridiculously 3-4am or something :p: Or the one time when I decided to wake everyone up with "Im a Barbie Girl" for some reason lol. Cant remember...don't think it was a good week.

As long as they aren't having sex in the same room, I can live with it - that did actually happen to me once in a hostel (probably several times, but this one I noticed). Two frenchies going at it at about 3AM (I can't say the French are as passionate as their reputation suggests) in the morning until the another dude walks in a bit later, with a camera in his hand and starts taking pictures!

I know this isn't really about accommodation, but does anyone know how frequent the bus service from Coventry rail station to campus is on a Sunday evening?

Looks like it's every 20 minutes. (I think!)

Yeah, or something similar to that.

Bottom floor windows often have privacy netting in addition to curtains.

Hello again :ninja:

How often do the cleaners come to clean the kitchen/rooms?
How fast is the internet connection?

I think it's different to every hall. At Westwood, they left your rooms alone, but cleaned the kitchen/common room/halls/bathrooms on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

It's OK for general browsing. Have a look at these two posts for more information. http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?p=26665270#post26665270
