And you applied in time for the deadline?? That's really bad!
And I wouldn't have said that Cryfield or Westwood were particularly popular either...but then again the people I've heard of getting offers have only been given JM, AV or Rootes, offers for other places seem to be less common so far?

I applied about a month before the deadline :\. All I can do is wait I guess!

Thirdly...does anyone know when the rest of us are likely to get offers? Those people who aren't classed as 'priority'? Does anyone know the latest date last year that this happened?

Offers were given out over the course of 5 days last year (I got mine on the 8th while others got it on the 12th).

Part of the reason of the delay is because some people who get accommodation offers don't take them up, perhaps because they don't want to go to uni any more. Then some people in Westwood sharing will be moved to fill the gap. Then people on the off campus Liberty Park waiting list will be shifted to Westwood sharing. Then people who don't have a place at all with Warwick Accommodation will be offered a place in Liberty Park.

If you are currently allocated to Westwood there's also the issue of single/shared rooms. You need to try and pair up the people who will be living together in the right way, and that needs to be done my the warden and not by a computer. Hence Westwood offers have arrived a day later than the first offers.

Still, there is a lot of work to do when allocating the halls, and if things change, Accommodation need to reassign contracts to a chain of 5 or 6 people or more.

Waitaminute... Does that mean there's even the slightest possiblity I could get reassigned another hall even after they've given me an offer (and I've accepted it)? I got allocated my fifth choice :s-smilie: so I'm clinging on to any kind of hope, haha.

Where are you at the moment? Did you apply before deadline? Firm/insure Warwick?

Lockable cupboard in your room: needs a bigish padlock...

"Wardrobe lock" is on the inventory list, though. Or is there a wardrobe and a cupboard?

No the lock is the thing that the padlock goes into in order to lock the cupboard/wardrobe.

You get a full length wardrobe and above it is the lockable cupboard.

I haven't had a Westwood offer though, or anything at all...
I understand the priority thing, I really do, but I was under the impression that most unis give out all of their offers on the same day ie. firm students on the same day as insurance students...that's what happened with all my friends. (The Kent students are worse off though, with 500 people with nowhere to live and loads of people having to defer)

If they're going to let us all know by the end of the week though, that's fine.

A-H/A-I it's just parking directions. You can't be certain where you are living until you get your keys.

Tallone, if it says A-H on your Inventory document, does that mean it's a pretty sure bet you're in Old Rootes?

Well blocks A-H are Old Rootes = You are in Old Rootes.

You can swap when swap lists open on Monday week 3 of term. Until then you have to stay where you are. Swapping requires an admin fee of £35 each.

If one person wants to move from AV or something, pretty much the whole campus is going to glomp them. Poor person.

Haha, if only that one person can call for the price for the room :p:

1. Westwood
2. Yes!
3. Firm

Nothing against westwood or anything, just that I'd rather be nearer campus if possible... also the fact that I seem to be the only person so far that got their last choice?!

I still haven't heard from accommodation but I really want Westwood. If they give me something else, I'll be happy to swap with you

It's quite strange, although some people do get their last choice/non of their preferences.

Can I ask what the other choices were, if you can remember? As for the original question, I doubt you will be moved if they sent you the email (if they haven't they could still move you perhaps - they might not have finalised your place at Westwood and it could be just provisional) :dontknow:
