I think Westwood will be good - nice and close to Tesco and I'm certainly not complaining about £41 a week rent while sharing!

I noticed you on the Facebook page too, also adding you if you don't mind  I'm Heidi, by the way.
I'm in Westwood sharing as well. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to "not bring too many belongings" with me, since I live in CANADA, and can't go back and forth easily. I don't mind the whole sharing thing, except for the fact that its going to be a very crammed month or so.

I'm international too, currently living in the middle east. They really should have put the fact that we're international into consideration, ah well.
I'll also be sharing in Westwood  Sounds like it's going to be quite an experience and at least by sharing we'll get to know each other faster. Certainly not complaining about having a bit of extra money

I know someone who lived at Westwood last year and absolutely loved it!
They were a close-knit community, mostly scientists around her bit, and were generally great friends.

That's both good and bad news... if somebody doesn't get on campus accommodation *knocks on wood*, they're supposed to help, right?

Yeah - next port of call will be places in Liberty Park off campus with 149 other freshers. It's shared with Cov students as well.

After that - private houses/houses with Warwick accommodation.

If you live off campus you should get a free bus pass though,

Westwood rooms are massive anyway  it's not as if you're sharing in Cryfield :p:
That's good to know! Are the rooms setup as two-person rooms (2 beds, 2 desks, etc.) or is it just like a normal room with an extra bed thrown in? Sorry if this sounds stupid, but the more information i get the easier it will be

It's a normal room, but with an extra bed and they also give you a device that lets you plug two laptops into the internet at once. However, although there is only one desk, it's huge so you'll have plenty of surface space to play with. Although, there is a chest of drawers under part of the desk so you wouldn't be able to have two people using it at once.
Exactly how bad is it living off campus?
Basically that's where they've put me I'm guessing.
I'm so annoyed!!!!!
I would have learnt to drive and got a car if I even thought this was a possibility!!!
I'm just imagining a horrible places miles away from uni shared with Coventry students, and us all being really antisocial and not being able to take part in anything going on on campus...and having to lug shopping on the bus...and all the conveniences of a campus uni completely lost!
I would kill to have Westwood right now, and I never thought I'd say that :frown:
Just wondering, when you're in shared accom what do you do when you want to bring back some clunge to your dorm for a late night romp?

Why would you bring them all the way to Westwood (from the SU - where most people are for the first few weeks)?
I only applied for accommodation a week ago. I didn't receive anything from Warwick prompting me to do so, and I kept waiting and waiting. They emailed me saying they would contact me within the week or something, argh. Probably a sleeping bag in the Library lol.

Eww, why would you share with cov uni students?

If you want off campus, go to Leam! It's where it's all happening

If you've applied then just be patient. Warwick accommodation can be very slow.

You have a threesome.

Or you don't bring anyone back.

Or you go to their room instead.
