Just got the email telling me that they're unable to offer on-campus accommodation. Oh well, anybody know how many rooms are left anywhere?
Does anyone know if in Westwood, there will be a place in my room to secure my laptop using this:

every morning? please don't tell me you have lectures every morning.....poor you if you do!

but i was thinking about getting groups together for cabs back at night, seeing as we'll be coming back after the last bus.

Yes sounds good! I reckon if we make a deal with one cab driver, then we can get a good fixed price, and then tell him well use him at least X times a week.
From the last email I got from Liberty Park it looks like they'll let me pay when my first instalment of my maintenance loan comes. Still gotta get £500 from somewhere though :frown:

There is a radiator under the window, and one end of this radiator is quite close to the desk, so someone else from my corridor used one of the pipes going to this radiator to loop the lock round.

Contact the university and they might be able to help you (not sure exactly who would be best to contact though)
Anyone wanna buddy up to find some accommodation or have a vacant spot to fill?

Hi! As far as I'm aware, apparently there's still places at Paradise Place. I've called there, and they should be calling me back in a couple of hours, or so they say. So I'm waiting to hear off them... Have you tried there?

This whole accommodation situation sucks.

The tableleg/radiator should work.

I know that Warwick Accommodation are advertising a few off campus places because people have dropped out of uni. Whether there are actually any left is another question.

I still have not receive any email from the warwick accommodation. I email-ed them 3 days ago, and they just reply me and said "You are currently in the process of being allocated accommodation. We will be getting back to you in the next few days – please keep checking your emails in this time." Warwick is my firm choice, I apply the accommodation before july and I have met the offer condition before 31st august. I am a oversea student, what can I do? should I just keep waiting? =/

Did you apply before the 31st July? If you didn't firm Warwick and apply for accommodation before this date then you will be in group 4 for allocation. (More info here on what these priority groups are).

You can find out when your application was processed (or an offer if you have it) by heading to http://go.warwick.ac.uk/contractsWA

If you haven't been allocated on campus accommodation or off campus accommodation at Liberty Park or Paradise Place, then you have the opportunity of heading to Whitefields before the start of term to search for off campus accommodation.

Finally, are you attending Warwick Orientation as part of the international office? When are you arriving at the uni?

If you call up Paradise, they've got a few rooms left, I've been given a room in a (currently) empty 5 bedroom flat on the 2nd floor apparently...
