yea must've :/ i really wanted to be there too. Was my first choice and got westwood offer so... :/

Nope, bluebell is the only one left to give out offers.

why didnt i get it then? they give them out according to a number system don't they? so i wouldve thought offers are send out according to that...

Well my choices were as follows:

1st Preference - Bluebell
2nd Preference - Sherbourne
3rd Preference - Jack Martin
4th Preference - Cryfield
5th Preference - Westwood

And if Bluebell offers have been given out, then I think all my choices have had their offers given out! Not looking promising for me...

Haha good minds think alike! Was Warwick your first choice? Because there are the principles of allocation:



The order of priority for first year undergraduates will be:

1. Students who require campus accommodation for supported medical / disability reasons (please see: Medical and Disabilities for further information)

2. Students who meet the criteria for all of the following: who place the University of Warwick as their firm choice, who applied for accommodation by the 31st July 2012, who received their course offer before the 31st July 2012 and who meet the terms of this offer by the 31st August 2012

3. Students who meet the criteria for all of the following: who place the University of Warwick as their insurance choice, who applied for accommodation by the 31st July 2012, who received their course offer before the 31st July 2012 and who meet the terms of this offer by the 31st August 2012.

4. Any other first year undergraduate student e.g. late accommodation applicants, students who meet the conditions of their offer after the 31st August 2012, students changing their course offer after the 31st July 2012 or students joining the university through clearing.


Which may explain your accommodation offer?

Put bluebell as first choice (warwick was my firm too) and still haven't heard anything yet so I think they haven't started giving them out yet.

I believe they are giving them out by buildings. JM, AV, Sherbourne and Cryfields were given out yesterday, Westwood and Rootes so far today. If you haven't gotten an email for one of those buildings, you probably aren't living in them.

Question; is there any way to see the actual room we are in, or do we just get the building until we pick up the keys?

Haha don't think I want Bluebell anymore because of how expensive it is!

Oh well, I'm gonna have to deal with it.
I had: JM, Rootes, Cryfield, Westwood I think.. haven't heard anything yet..

EDIT:

Literally just got an email from them... I got Rootes :biggrin:

if you really dont want it im sure you can easily find someone to swap rooms with, unless u are just whining about the price when you accually know u want to stay there :smile:

Nah it's fine. I'm sure I'll have a great time, Bluebell or not - I'm just quite frugal sometimes hehe :smile:
