Hey guys, which documents do we need to bring? Will they ask us for our exam certificates?

They shouldn't, nope :nah: . I only picked up my exam certificates from my school a few days ago and I'm now into my third year! . They will want passport photos (VERY important)(they don't have to be ''official'' passport photos, just passport sized, so you can take a photo of yourself on your phone and print them off :yep: ), your certificate of enrolment printed off and your NHS number if you are registering on campus :yep:

Anybody know of anything else? :h:

You'll need an RJ45 cable to use the ethernet, but the wifi should be just as good. If you still really want/need to use the ethernet, RJ45 cables can be obtained pretty cheaply e.g http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wired--up-Ethernet-RJ45-Network-Cable/dp/B000I1T3ZE/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1379545372&sr=8-9&keywords=rj45

oh wow, that sure is cheap lol, thank you!

In fact, they might still give out RJ45 cables included with the rooms (they definitely did two years ago)-however I don't know if they still do this, as most people wouldn't need to use one now.

Yeah, I seem to remember having to give them vaccination details and some other medical stuff.

10p, 20p, 50p, £1, £2. If you don't go for any of the silly fancy settings, it's £2 for the washing machine, £1 for the dryer. I think the two fancy settings for the washing machines are £2.40 and £2.60 respectively, but I'm not sure on that. (This is for the main laundry, don't know if it varies elsewhere).

Oh, and you may want to get practiced at extracting coins from the input slot with a key, they have a tendency to get jammed on occasion.

Hey, I start at Warwick soon and I'm going to live in Rootes. Couple of questions:

1) What's the quality of bedding like? Is the one they provide us with usable? I'm just trying to figure it out how many extra sets I'll need to buy (1 or 2).
2) Do they provide us with a desk lamp?
3) Are there any irons we could use, or they only provide us with ironing boards? If there aren't any, do most people bring their own, or they just don't use irons?

Thanks.

Yes.

No irons are produced, and I've never seen anybody doing any ironing on a regular basis.
The inventories for Rootes J-P no longer have a desk lamp listed. Is there one still provided or have they taken them off.

That's exactly why I've asked that question too.

Huh, that's weird. I can't see any reason why they'd have taken them off.
When does the money for our accommodation get taken? The Warwick website says it's October 24th but the accommodation offer says it's September 30th

The September 30th is the day you get billed. They wait before taking direct debit payments until the 24th, and allow around 3 weeks to pay by card so people who's loans come in late don't go bankrupt.
Ah cheers guys  That's a relief, I think mine might be a bit late.

Anyone having second thoughts about their ON CAMPUS postgrad accommodation?

If so, get in contact. I may consider taking over the contract.

:frown: They've said I can't request an additional desk for a shared room in Westwood...

The desk in there is massive, and it's basically fixed in to the wall (you'll see what I mean in a weeks time). There isn't really a place to put a second, even small desk, mostly due to lack of wall space rather than floor space.

Does anyone know where we can add bank details for accommodation fees?
