History and Politics, it's all compulsory modules so I thought the tt would be available earlier. What about you?

English, all compulsory modules. I checked my Warwick email account though and had one from the department saying we can pick up our timetables next Tuesday. Maybe you have to get yours in person too?

How many people per flat/halls are there? I'm talking about Westwood specifically. The reason I ask, is that there are about 20 people sharing per kitchen and most of my friends are sharing with just 5 other people. I'd prefer there to be less people as I feel it would be easier to get close to the people in my hall. Will this be a problem?

Oh right, thank you!! Not sure if its different fir english but I emailed the link on the start website today asking about timetables and this is their reply- "IT services are currently having a problem with the start website. If its not sorted by tomorrow, we'll get a notice out for all students and give alternative ways to view your timetable.
If you're still unable to see your timetable tomorrow, please come back to me and I'll email you the details you need" so perhaps the 'alternative method' is just to pick it up ourselves! Haha. Oh well I'm sure we'll find out one way or another! Thanks again!! x

There will normally be around 12 people sharing per kitchen :yep: . You are unlikely to find fewer unless you get Bluebell, which is 8 people sharing per kitchen :yep: . However, Westwood, more people per kitchen share, so shall be around 20 people per kitchen :yep: . It's not normally a problem, you just have more people to get to know! (and, also, more people to turn to if there's someone you don't like :yep: )

In my experience, you're more likely to be close to halls friends if theres more of you, as theres more chance that there'll be people you get on really well with and you are more likely to do things in groups. My friends in smaller kitchens have made much stronger friendships with friends from their courses or other interests, whereas most of my close friends are from halls (24 of us sharing 2 kitchens in cryfield)
Anybody know something about how to work out my building/floor from room numbers. I don't want to say my exact one but I'm in Westwood.
For anyone knowledgeable out there, I have a room with a "B" on the end of it, what does that mean?! Everyone seems to only have their Block Letter then number!

I think the letter in front of the number is the building your in. According to the rrom search on start.warwick, these are the different westwood blocks:

Westwood Bericote
Westwood Compton
Westwood Dunmore
Westwood Emscote
Westwood Gosford
Westwood Hampton
Westwood Knightcote
Westwood Loxley

I'm not sure how you can find out which floor your on though.

Room numbers seem to be coming up on the finance page now.

Assuming it's the same everywhere and hasn't changed in 3 years, the first number denotes the floor, e.g. 010 is the 10th room on the ground floor.

Go onto start.warwick then onto student finance where you set up your direct debit and it says what room you're paying for
Is it sensible to post room numbers on here since it is public?

Do you know what the 'S' at the end of the room number means?
