Hi guys, does anyone know how the Lakeside room numbers work? On the my.warwick data page (or whatever it's called now, I don't know anymore) it says my accommodation is: 568/LS S but I swear that there aren't 5 floors?

Sweet, ta
Hi guys, I live in rootes but I do not really need 39 week let as I will spent my holidays at home. Is there anyone from cryfield interested in room swap? PM me if you'd like to
This was really helpful... thanks
Is Jack Martin 39 weeks?
No, 30 weeks, unless something's changing next year that I haven't heard about.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but am I right in thinking that neither Benefactors nor Whitefields is available for 2014/15? This page says they may not be available any more, but the Warwick website still shows them... :s-smilie:
The Warwick website doesn't seem to have updated from this year yet, so may be out of date.
Hi everyone does anybody have any idea when applications for accommodation opens as literally Warwick's website hasn't updated and Is fairly ambiguous?

It's been left fairly ambiguous on purpose since opening dates differ year-on-year :yep: . It could be as early as the second week in April or as late as the last week in May! The website will be updated when they're confident they can make the self-imposed deadline
Do I have to firm Warwick before I apply for the accomadation?

The deadline for firming Warwick (or another uni) and the deadline for applying for accommodation are separate - it's really important that you meet both deadlines when you find them out.

You don't need to have firmed Warwick when you apply for accommodation. In fact, if you have put Warwick as insurance then you should still apply for accommodation.

In the event that you don't end up going to Warwick then they would just cancel your application.
Just got an offer from Warwick  and I have been going over accommodation with my parents, and I need 39 week because I am an international student so I am really torn between bluebell and sherbourn. Overall I prefer bluebell but lots of people have been saying that its really boring :/ can someone maybe give me some insight into the friendliness of both accommodations pleeeaassee really dont want to make the wrong decision !!!

Bluebell is very VERY quiet and people think you're stuck up if you live there. It's like a hotel. From my experience Bluebell has a lot more foreign students than Sherbourne so it depends if you'd like a higher chance of living with fellow internationals. Sherbourne is a bit further out but the people there are definitely more sociable and like to party. I don't know if it's an option this year but I live in Heronbank which is also 39 weeks and en suite and it's great here!

I'm an international student as well and I am considering Bluebell (and I am definitely not a 'stuck-up' person!!) A friend of mine is living there this year and she LOVES it! She definitely seems to do a lot with the people in her hall and her pictures definitely don't look boring in any way!! She's a real down to earth type of person as well. From what I have heard from her regarding the residence application, Warwick definitely take into consideration what your personality type is so, yes, you may get quieter floors if that's what you want but if you want to party they will put you with similar people. Personally for me, I want a good balance as I do love to party but I like my sleep too
thank you both very much !! So I guess on the application they ask you e.g do you want to go out a lot etc so put you with the same people ?

From what I remember, there's a tick box to say if you want a quiet area then a space to fill in a brief description of yourself so in that you'd put down how often you go out, your interests etc.

Hi guys!

Would someone be able to point me in the right direction for accommodation? I'm after en-suite and preferably a 39 week let (but I'm fairly local so 30 isn't a problem) - Sherbourne and Heronbank looked lovely but I hear it's mainly for international students or can be quite quiet as it's far out? I love meeting new people and being social (the usual drivel) so this worries me a little, is there any that you'd recommend over those two?

Thanks
