Go on Saturday. My surname begins with X. I still went on Saturday. Those that came on Sunday did not bond as quick as relationships were already made.
I'm after some advice on the accommodation form! I can't decide whether to say I want to live in a quiet area or not (what a dilemma.. haha) but whilst I'm pretty sociable and want to be around people who want to go out/quite lively/have fun etc, I also reaally need my sleep.. so I wonder if the 'quiet areas' often attract people who would be less keen on going out partying or just people who want quiet during the night when they're trying to sleep? I realise there's no clear cut answer to this but if anyone has any advice about what they did/useful experiences please share!

I would probably advise against checking the quiet area box. If you just describe yourself in the personal statement box, then you will be placed near other similar people and so noise shouldn't be an issue. That said, I probably still wouldn't advise applying to Rootes as it is very close to the SU and so will be much more noisy there.

Okay, thanks is Cryfield as close as Rootes is to the SU (and therefore likely to be as noisy)? i think i'm going to put Westwood/Cryfield/Rootes as my top 3..

Cryfield's a bit further out, but you can still definitely hear the noisier things.

Avoid Cryfield. Small rooms, quiet, tiny corridors. There's a reason it's cheap!
I stayed in Westwood and loved it, but it is a little further out. There's lots of other advantages of being there though, like a 5 min walk from Tesco and being right next to the Westwood facilities ofc.
Rootes is a solid choice but will be noisy, although almost everyone I know who lived there though it was fantastic.
Well done. Cant answer this I am afraid. Accommodation is done on a ballot and you put in 5 choices and apparantly you usually get one of your first 3 choices. Dont know how this effects clearing probably the same as it effect insurance choice applicants.
