Hi,

I am an international PG student. I still has not received my accommodation offer yet. I am really worried about it as my course start on 15 Sep. Anyone has the same problem? :s-smilie:

It's the same for me, I guess we should be patient. Maybe they are doing it by accommodation. I know that people received offers for Heronbank and Lakeside... and I applied for Tocil as my first choice, so maybe it'll come after.... Let's wait and see.

I applied for Tocil too! Hope we both can get Tocil!!! :smile:

Well, so that confirms my thoughts. I think they are sending offers by stage, ie. by accommodation halls. So we might hear from them this week hopefully!!!

I wasn't told my accommodation until the beginning of September so don't worry yet!

and did you pay your deposit before the deadline last year? There are rumours that in both lakeside and heronbank (which are my first 2 choices) have been fully occupied. Do you think that could be true? :frown::frown::frown:

"Thank you for your email. Yes, if you have not yet heard from us you may still be allocated to on-campus accommodation. You will need to wait for an email from us, which you should hopefully receive by the end of this week."

This is the e-mail i got from accommodation team. I think we still have a chance to get an on campus accommodation offer.

Yeah, I called them yestarday and they told me almost the same. Either the end of this week, or next week. So let's cross our fingers!:rolleyes:

There are plenty of allocation helper websites for UK and the Warwick SU can also help I believe. I am an international MA student and hoping to receive an offer this week as well, it took so long!

Got an offer for Tocil. My first choice was Heronbank / Lakeside but I've been reading nice things mostly about Tocil.

Anyone with any horror stories about Tocil?
got an offer today for tocil....but heronbank was my 1st choice.....

emailed accommodation to ask if they could do something about it, but they said they can't change the offer.

how's tocil? i'm doing a masters at WBS, wanted to be closer to school with heronbank, and most of my friends suggested heronbank.

They had some rooms in Cryfield and Heronbank to rent to students during summer 2014, so likely it will be similar for 2015. http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/accommodation/reception/summervac/

It's OK (I'm living there next year too), and like 5-10 minutes walk from WBS anyway.
I received yesterday a mail from warwick accommodation. Have a look:

We are pleased to offer you a room on campus for the 2014/2015 academic year. Your contract begins on 20 September 2014 and this is the earliest date that your room will be available from.

Your accommodation offer is for a room in Whitefields which was not a preference on your accommodation application form, however to enable as many postgraduates as possible to live on campus we have now made 135 rooms in Whitefields available to postgraduate students. Information about Whitefields can be found at: http://www.warwick.ac.uk/studentaccom/all/campus/residences/whitefields/


Any other postgrads have been offered Whitefields? I'm a bit disappointed, as sharing 2 bathrooms with 12 people doesn't really sound great for me. On the plus side, it's very cheap (£81pw, 40 week contract) and in a very central position (which actually is kind of a downside for me).
I don't really know whether to accept the offer or not, and I'm trying to look for other options in Canley before choosing.

I may as well look for other postgrads willing to switch their room at CC, HB, LS or TO with mine at Whitefields. But is there any?
