Westwood really isn't that far away. It's probably the closest to the Maths building, and it's no more than a 15-20 minute walk to the SU. There is also a shuttle bus that takes you all around campus, so you can always get that down to the SU.

Got Rootes, my first choice :cool:

I hope I don't live to regret that decision :tongue: Those tiny kitchens are gonna take some getting used to, but at least it's cheap. Ish.

Yep I'm probably gonna go for it, you get access to all the events over a period of two weeks, you'd end up saving quite a lot!

Well 50% of the course is one language, so I guess I can say I'll specialise in Spanish. Haha

Philosophy has always seemed like a subject I'd love to do.... Maths is one I've always ran away from xD!

Spanish Is really useful but also my worst subject at gcse lol.

Are your departments close to Westwood? Ive been looking at the Map and it seems the location is a bit closer than I originally thought to maths at least.
I've got an offer at Westwood. It wasn't my first choice, but, now that I've looked into it a bit more, it seems like a really nice place to live - and the walk doesn't sound too bad :smile:

Meh, got into Rootes. Was like my last choice. I'm not that much of an outgoing dude, so this should be...rather...fun...said....nobody.

Westwood wasn't my first choice either but I agree it doesn't look too bad at all :smile: what course are you doing? I'm English Lit. Have you joined the Westwood Halls page on FB?

New. At least, I remember E block being old so....
On our accommodation inventory it says bed linen / cushions are provided. Any students that have experienced it, what are these bed sheets etc. like - and would it be better just bringing your own?

They're a little bit thin and boring, but they do the job. Many people bring their own duvet covers at least to personalise their room.
