Which non-ensuite accommodation is everyone applying to

Does anyone know where management lectures are held? I've heard that the wbs building only houses lectures for postgraduates. Also is the wbs extension gonna be open in october?

I'm applying to all of them... Most seem to be choosing Rootes at some point in their list. I'm thinking Whitefields, Tocil, Cryfield, Rootes, Westwood. Yourself?

when applying for accommodation it says 'Do you want to live in a quiet area.' Does anyone know how quiet they mean? Is that the area where there is no socialising etc? Unsure what to put to this question as I do enjoy socialising but don't like a really loud environment.

From what I've gather, based on what everyone has been saying, that specificaally refers to a quiet area - it might be that quiet people choose that option more than louder people, thus leading to a perception that it refers to quiet people? Personally, if you'd rather have a quiet area, select it. Then, specify in your statement that you're chatty, enjoy socializing etc.

I have no clue, the website says it's an option...?

Hi people, now exam are finished I'm finally getting round to accommodation. The Warwick website says many of the accommodation sites will be affected by building work disruption. Does anyone know firstly if its even a big issue and secondly if so specifically which places are badly effected( i.e. you'll be living in the middle of a building site) and which are just on the outskirts of where the building work takes places and so disruption is minimal. Thanks

Usually held in Ramphal building, Maths & Stats building (think it's called Zeeman) and occasionally Chemistry block. I think they'll be moved over to the new WBS building but not sure, just what I've heard from friends.

New WBS building should be "habitable" from start of forthcoming academic yr.

The building works that they're talking about are on the tocil field, so the neighbouring blocks are Tocil, Arthur Vick, Jack Martin and Whitefields. JM/AV are on the other side of at least one hedge, Whitefields is across a road, and the nearby Tocil blocks face the other way (FWIW, I'm sitting in one of the closest rooms to said works right now, and it's only been occasionally annoying. JM/AV, at least, have had new windows put in recently, so should be reasonably well soundproofed.
Thanks for ur help, I think JM/AV for me if I get it

Hi guys, which accomodation is better for postgraduates? I am keen on ensuite bath and some tranquility, which has the best rooms?
So, I didn't realise quite how boring I am until I started writing that stupid 'about me' section to apply for accommodation! What I'm like depends completely on who I'm with! This is driving me mad... I sound like a hermit with OCD compulsions and a need for naps. Like, how are they going to match me to however many other people?! 😒

Hi buddy, I'm also looking at the different accommodations. Sadly the pictures are not much to go by, I think I have signed up to an open day on the 22nd of July, but I don't think they show us the accommodation. I'm looking at Heronbank, Lakeside or clay croft, I'm assuming that we won't be in mixed flats with fresh, do you have any idea?
Is it worth me as a prospective History student putting Sherbourne as my first choice when it is so far away from the History block? I would like a nice accommodation block with a 39 week let as I live abroad, not bothered with noise and the like,

I'm a prospective fresher, from what I know they don't mix postgrad and undergrad in flats. From what I've heard, you can be in the same accommodation but they separate you to different blocks.

The walk isn't going to be that bad, I'm assuming history is in the humanities block? From Sherbourne to Humanities the general consensus seems to be that the walk will take you just over 10 minutes depending on how fast you walk. In real world terms, that's minimal.

If the distance is putting you off, other 39 week accommodation includes Rootes, Bluebell, Whitefields, Lakeside, Heronbank and Tocil. They would all be closer to Humanities. Westwood is also 39, but is a bit further away. It all depends on your budget and priority. Like, is an ensuite more important than the location? Or, would you rather be centrally located and quiet?
