Advice to those applying for accommodation next year:

Don't bother filling in your 'about me' section or requesting a quiet area; it obviously isn't even read. Put a period there instead and save yourself the effort.

It's the first weekend. Give it time.
Are there any shortcuts to get to Tesco from the Sherbourne area of campus? Took me about 35 minutes to walk there before and a flatmate said something similar. There's gotta be a faster way

Shuttle bus

I live in Lakeside (for reasons), and the shuttle is pretty much vital, since Heronbank and us are far away from shopping.

Shuttle bus is probably quickest. You could maybe save some time by cutting through the science park (from Sherbourne, head down the road to the gatehouse, then head up towards university house, turn right just before you get there, and follow that road until you run out of road, then turn right).
OK, so how do I go about getting people kicked out of my flat who aren't supposed to be there? Asking because I've been kept awake until 5am for two nights in a row now by ****ty music and shouting coming from the kitchen and outside corridor.

I look forward to the 'I'm gonna beat you up, yeah' comments for the coming weeks... Are we supposed to be annoyed about having to move out of accommodation in year 2?

From what I understand this is exactly what your resident tutor is for. I guess you should email your tutor, let them know that it has happened frequently lately and then let them know if it happens again so they can kick the people out.
Anyone know a shortcut to Westwood, that doesn't involve the shuttle bus or walking through university house?

If you're going from the maths side of campus, go around the right of the maths building (looking at the entrance), cross the road and take the path opposite. After a while, you'll get to another road (it's the one that you cross just before getting to University House, but further down). Turn left, and cross into the carpark you'll see on the right after 10-20 yards. Walk through there and out of the gate opposite, and you'll be on the road between Westwood and main campus, just by the entrance next to the accommodation (the entrance between the one opposite university house and the one at the education school end). If your on the main bit of campus, then it's quickest to go past university house, but go around the back (between University house and the other building up there). If you're going from Claycroft to the education end, it's quicker to go via Tescos. Here's a really bad map showing those three routes, in red, blue and green respectively:

On the shutter bus do you get off at Westwood or Uni House? It doesn't go to cannon park does it?

Thanks I will try that. Do you know any shortcuts to get to the WBS building from Westwood?

The blue line on that map then cut down through the physics car park is probably quickest.
When applying for next year's accommodation as an individual, how quick do the places fill up? Also, are you put with people who also applied as individuals?

It's randomly allocated so you won't actually hear your choice till September 2016 and everyone is guaranteed on campus accommodation if they apply before the deadline. I believe couples are in a different accommodation (Lakeside Appartments) so that wouldn't even be an option for you. First years are all together as individuals

I mean as second year offsite. Figured that most people who apply for individual are as crap socially as I am, so I should get some peace and quiet for once.
hii everyone!
Im interested in knowing more about warwick accommodation! does anyone have an idea about which hall of residence actually has the least chinese?
All the cheap accomodation have the least Chinese students, so you want to avoid all the en suites.

Yeah, probably the **** accommodation. Honestly though, en suite > everything else so go for the best stuff regardless.
Random Question... Im a letting agent and I have some Warwick students looking at letting there rooms out to move into more desirable accommodation... any idea where the best place for them to advertise would be? its quiet on Facebook and i would really like to help the students out!?

Im currently in Sherbourne and yet to find a Chinese person or one of those stereotypical internationals that don't talk/socialise etc. Sherbourne is also en suite. If you're trying to avoid the internationals (I won't lie I was too) go for anything but Bluebell and quiet areas or single sex. The halls don't matter that much
