Hi there,

Ive managed to get into Warwick (just!) and ive applied for accommodation before the deadline. I've seen other posts where other people have got there accommodation offers/choices confirmed, so im wondering if anyone has/has not heard back yet.

Well done to everyone that got in

Cheers, I hope you hear back soon. Weirdly I didn't get an email, but that may have been because it was Sunday. I also learnt that they expire in 2 working days so I'd advise checking regularly.

It's on the website - sorry for a cagey reply, but when I was a student ambassador at my undergrad people would ask about the rent prices and the university specifically said not to tell them exact figures for one reason at another. But it's around one hundred and fifty per week and totals to about 90% of my tuition fees. :s-smilie:

What do you mean by " I also learnt that they expire in 2 working days so I'd advise checking regularly."

It said that the offer is valid for 2 working days when it is given to you. So if the offer was given today (Sat) then I would have until Tuesday to accept it, after which I cannot accept it.

Yes, so you have nothing that can expire.

Good luck and I hope you get what you want.
Thank you very much for the help

Got allocated an off-campus en-suite apartment accommodation with Study Inn, will cost £150 p/w.

Disappointed I'm not on campus, but the apartments look nice and have plenty of facilities. Plus I'm receiving a decent bursary, so I can take some solace from the situation...

See you at Warwick lol.

I'm genuinely sorry to hear that because it's really not something any new student should have to do. There's always the week 3 transfer request system if it's unbearable. Good luck!

@Hello1236969 Undergrads do, provided they apply by the deadline. For postgrads it's slightly different in that only overseas students are guaranteed accommodation, and whatever is left is given to everyone else, so UK postgrad students are at a slight disadvantage. I think there's about 10k postgrads for 6k accommodation spaces, some of whom will be people who've found their own accommodation anyway..

It’s a little disheartening, but I’ll get over it haha. I suppose the benefits are that the accommodation is a ‘hall’ type layout, so it should be fairly sociable. Plus it’s in Coventry, so there’s that. Honestly, as long as I’ve got a bed to sleep in, and it’s not too far from campus, then I’m happy:redface:
I'm studying International Business with Spanish at Warwick this year.

I wonder when we're gonna hear about on-campus accommodation. I applied to Sherbourne, Bluebell, Westwood, Rootes and Claycroft.

I got in through clearing so I haven't even applied for accommodation yet... how screwed am I?

I'd do anything for en suite but I guess it's literally impossible now. I really wanted Arthur Vick/Jack Martin but they're heavily subscribed so I doubt it at this point.

I assume Lakeside/Heronback are less subscribed, anyone know if they're any good?

Also which of the following is best: Rootes, Westwood, Cryfield, Redfern.

En suite is very important to me but it seems unlikely at this point since I got in through clearing and I'm probably at the bottom of their priority. They haven't even sent me any additional information yet. But I look forward to it.

BTW, does anyone know any info on how hard it is to transfer courses or when to email about that? I don't want to do it so soon after getting accepted.

Hey I see you're applying through clearing too! Have you heard back from accommodation? I'm kinda worried coz I haven't and I feel like it's because I applied through clearing. It just says this on my account: STATUS: Your application has been submitted, we will contact you if you are successfully allocated a room or if we need any further information.

Hey, I held Warwick as my firm choice and applied for accommodation in early June and have the same status on my application as you so I wouldn’t worry!
Am I the only one who cannot access accomodation details? I have been trying for more than an hour now since they sent the email but the website won’t respond 😡

I can’t either. Probably cause loads of people are trying to access it at the same time

Same here.
please pm me if you are willing to swap your offer from bluebell for Sherbourne, willing to some money as well
How does the university inform you about accommodation? Email? Log in somewhere? Had an email ages so saying that accommodation would be sent out before end of August. Getting worried now I'll lose out on a campus place at this rate.

Log into the same place you applied (I provided a link to it somewhere in the last 3 pages). I heard back on a weekend and never got an email before or after that day so... :iiam:
Anyone else seeing themselves as having accepted the accomodation offer on the website and yet still haven't received a followup confirmation email? The deadline's so strict that I'm starting to worry the acceptance hasn't gone through to them...
