Not quite. Every ground floor in Westwood is boys only... which is just under 20 per block... x 8 blocks

Do you prefer a single sex area? YES/NO

Will you accept mixed/single area if your preference is not available? YES/NO

I'm 100% against a single sex area, but if there's no single sex areas available, I don't have any choice, lol. If I say no will they not give me accommodation? :P

Just answer no to both, I'd be prepared to bet that at leat 75% of all applicants do. And you'll get accommodation. The actual amount of single-sex accommodation at Warwick is very limited.
What's the internet like at Warwick?

From a quick look at their website it looks pretty dire to be quite honest. Piracy aside, 1Mbit between 50 people is shockingly outdated for a top class university. That works out to what.. 30kbs download? I mean if they're charging for that..

Oh and what's with the ******ed limits as well? 5GB a MONTH? (given that by comparison, other universities offer 5GB per DAY!) That sends all hope of watching stuff on youtube (regularly) out of the window then doesn't it.

So.. if that's the case then does gaming work at Warwick? Since surely the ping would be so fantastically huge?
I heard a rumour that Whitefields and Tocil has single sex areas, but it doesn't say so on the website.. is this true? Is it like boys on the first floor and girls on the second? Or like whole flats?

Do we get to choose which rooms?:P I don't like ground floors.. if I should've said that on my application.. crap.

Hey! I applied for my accommodation yesterday (JM, Heronbank and Cryfield <-- in that order!)... but am unsure about Heronbank? Has ANYone else applied there? :s I just have a feeling my first choice will be over subscribed and I will be put there...

HI guys I want to ask one very important question for me: Can I expend the weeks I'll be staying in accommodation? I mean if I pick Arthut Vick (whick is 30 week let) can I expend that to 39 week because the problem is that I don't want to go back for the holidays.

No you can't.

you cant extend lets, but if you want to stay during holidays, you can book vacation accommodation on the website. Its relatively cheap and will be on campus, but it WONT be in your normal room.

All the whitefields houses I've been in are boys on the bottom floor and girls on the top floor.

Given they're houses though, this isn't exactly separation by gender. In Whitefields it's quite literally a case of upstairs and downstairs, which sounds much more close-together than top floor and bottom floor.

Right right. Is Tocil like this too then?

Quick question, if I've already applied to accommodation but I'm still thinking I might want to change my options to ones with a 39 week let, would I be able to email the uni before the closing deadline for accommodation and change my choices (still not sure which way I want to go with this)?

Cheers

Yeah fairly sure you can change your choices..
Email them (Warwick Accommodation) asking this question, it may be as simple as simply refilling out the form.

Didn't live there last year, but can't imagine it'll be very good when they start work on the new union.

Hard to tell. Supposedly there'll be no more heavy union groundwork; it was all done during exam weeks ^^

Hey on the accomodation website it says that the cost of shared benefactors room is 85 pounds per week. Does this mean that it's 85 per person or 85 and which is then shared by the people sharing the room..
85 each.
