Grade boundaries are based on how well people did. That is the point of UMS. A petition will do nothing- if people nationwide did poorly in the paper, then the grade boundaries will reflect that.
not how life works. you found it hard coz you didnt work hard enough-simple. all of the quetsions were GCSE standard ( i did the paper) and all ranged for differnet abilities

i found nov 14 way harder and that was still 83 for an a*

show some dignity and accept the blame not blame the paper. if you find it hard how bout you work harder instead of beg for lower grade boundaries as if that is your way of getting the grade you want for less work
Do you not understand grade boundaries?

Yes. It is embarrassing. Congrats website! (click on the pic if you want to see it more clearly  )

And yet again, I have to say : 'If people found it hard, then the grade boundaries will be lower anyway. Fact of life.'
There's no need to demand grade boundaries to be lowered. It's common sense that if a paper is hard, grade boundaries will be lower. If people can't understand that, then well.

What's wrong with all the GCSE students and their petitions this year?

Would you perhaps like your As without exams as well?

guys so I failed this exam - But ill take it. I need 75 for an A next paper and that wont happen- I have acknowledged that. So, I was curious about November retakes? How do they work? Do I need a specific grade for them? Will they be frowned upon by universities? Do you have to pay for them, if so how much? Please let me know

Did you find Ed Excel gcse maths non cal hard, do you feel like you didn't do well?
Then sign the petition to lower the grade boundary this year.
This paper was different to all the pther paper from the past and was quite difficultPlease share it with your friends to make it possible

This is stupid and clearly shows you do not know how grade boundaries work. If the paper was hard and everyone did badly then the grade boundaries will be naturally lower to make up for this. They will not artificially make them lower to suit some people who found it hard. The boundaries will change to suit the difficulty of the paper as they do every single year.
I know it's been said but I will say it again. They are grade boundaries for a reason. Some of you will get an A* and others will get a D, that is how the system works. A petition does absolutely nothing except show unreasonably angry you lot are.

Look mate. The question everyone is going on about wasn't impossible. It just required some thinking outside the box. That is a key skill you should be developing for life. The whole point of a higher tier paper is that near the end they put questions that stretch the very brightest students and which only a few would be able to do. They have to sometimes mix it up a bit because after a while everyone just rote learns the solutions to the harder questions from the mark scheme. That's just how it is. People who got that question would have been actively seeking out unusual type questions to revise from of would have been very clever.

If you are planning to do a level maths then this happens in every single paper. You're going to have to learn to stop complaining when you aren't spoon fed the answer to every question type on a paper. Don't be angry that they actually expected you to use your general intelligence for one question.
