Am I late?

Would it still be valid/considered if I applied now for student finance?
So far as I can tell, you can apply up till 9 months after the start of the academic year. However, from what I've heard, there is a chance of your first payment being a bit late if you apply after the end of May.

Thanks! And, if you don't mind me asking, what do you exactly mean with being a bit late with their payment?
I applied after the deadline of the 31st of May (as in I did it the day after :P ), but yeah the website says you might be delayed in receiving your loan
I can't find the thread/info now, but I seem to remember someone saying that if you apply late, student finance might take an extra two/three weeks to give you your maintenance/tuition loan. With your tuition fee loan, your uni would probably not mind it being a little late so long as you discussed it with them, but obviously with maintenance loan it might be a good idea to be prepared for it to not immediately be there when you start.

However, I can't actually find any info about it on the gov.uk website, so it's possible that info is wrong/outdated  I would recommend phoning student finance (contact details should be on the gov.uk website) and asking them just to be sure.
some payments are made as late as January. Your university will be understanding about delays in payment IF they see evidence that you have done everything you should so keep records of phone calls to student finance and dates when you have sent things.
