heartburn?... can't remember whats good for it... 3 red bulls shouldn't be too bad for you.... maybe drink some water...

Reply 2

Probably the pure amount of acid has caused you chest pain, maybe take an indigestion tablet? If it gets really painful then please call a doctor though, nothing is worth taking a risk over no matter how silly it may seem.

Red bull contains tremendous amounts of sugar, caffiene and taurine. It probably caused you to have an increased heart rate which is causing the chest pains.. If they don't go away after awhile then you should be worried. Drink a couple of glasses of cold water or milk.

Do not drink redbull!!!!!
It has actually been banned in countries and the Uk is the only place where the can doesn't carry a warning.

You're probably dehydrated. That's a considerable amount of caffeine you've just had in one go.

Fah. I get the same pain when i drink 3 glasses of orange juice. it is heartburn.
soem gaviscon, Tums, remegel etc will sort him out.

Increased heart rate doesn't give you chest pain. why would it?

This is why, Taken from WebMD:

WebMD
Overview & Efficacy: Several small controlled and clinical studies with follow-ups of up to three years have shown that people who have chest pain is related to either (a) incorrect breathing patterns or (b) Increased or decreased heart rate. This therapy is rated as probably efficacious (level 3 on a scale of 1 - 5 with 5 being the best).

Also, Heartburn isn't a pain. It's more of a burn as the name suggests.

Hmm, i couldn't find the study you were touting. however, if you swap:-
"Increased or decreased heart rate"
for
"anxiety respond very well to heart rate variability biofeedback."

then this study appears...

Non-cardiac chest pain

Not the topic is NON cardiac chest paiun.
hmmm....

As for 'heartburn isn't pain. It is painful. As is a burn. put the back of your hand against a kettle if you want to test the theory.

Do you honestly think the equivalent of 3 big cups of coffee in 3 HOURS will cause someones heart to go so dollally that cells die or are starved of oxygen? because thats the reason you get heart pain...

We had a RedBull sponsored event (the Soap Box Derby) at the place I worked. Free RedBull for all the staff, all weekend. 30 on Saturday, 20 on Sunday.
Can't touch it since, but it got me through the 14 hour shifts!

don't doubt it.
and it feels horrible and scary. but not painful.
you can't feel an extra heart beat...but you do feel that slightly longer gap before the next heart beat after. and it feels terrible, like your heart has skipped a beat...or stopped altogether!

but its pretty harmless stuff red bull if drunk sensibly. even 6 cans in 3 hours wouldn't be a hassle. its more mixing in booze, or medications, or really drinking tonnes over a long period, or binging very quick in one night.

there was that guy declared 'unfit to drive' after he crashed having drank 18-20 cans in the last couple of hours.

I drink 3 a day... It has no effect on me, sometimes i get alittle bit of heartburn because of the acids and sugar in the redbull. You wont die, just take it down a notch now.

Drinking redbull on its own is fine. Dont go worrying people for nothing. Its only dangerous when mixed with alcohol for reasons I cant remember, but I remember it was quite a good reason.

Ofcourse sustained high quantities of caffiene arent good for the body.

Reply 15

Only 3 cans'? You weakling you .

Reply 16

Had 4 cans of relentless in one go. That was er... fun! :s

Reply 17

What exactly do palpitations feel like? I had this .. I dont know.. jittery.. rumbly.. feeling in my chest from time to time, would that be it?

I'm suprised it has affected me at all, usually I'm very caffeine tolerant!

Reply 19

Err, just looked up what I was feeling - the pain with rumbly sensation in chest, turns out it was heart palputations.
I'm not touching that stuff ever again.
