can ppl find dates with randoms in the street?

hey.

i've just got home from a tube journey, and there was a really gd looking guy in the same carriage as me with 3 other of his friends. i immediately thought he was fit and kept looking at him. i noticed that he looked at me a couple times, and when i was looking at the reflection in the plastic partition (so it looked like i was looking away) i saw him and the friend next to him looing my way and talking. when i got off the tube, they were both definately watching me...! i was way too scared to say anything, cos i was wondering if it was all in my head, and i didn't know what to say, esp with his friends all there.

so my question is, do u know of any stories of ppl meeting in public places randmoly and getting a date out of it?

and next timoe if this thing happens again (as in meet a fit guy somewhere, not in a club or uni, like total random), what shold i do?

Maybe it's just me and my friends not being very skilled in said areas, but as far as I know, that only ever works in movies! Sorry. No harm in trying though I guess; you won't ever see them again.

Maybe make conversation at least and see how that goes. Nowhere near as easy as it sounds I know.
i always get chatted up on the train... dunno, never happens to me anywhere else. i guess people are more bored on trains and willing to get chatting. have got a couple of guys' numbers just from chatting on public transport! i have a bf though so never done anything with them.

A guy on a train has flirted with me before, but I have to say I never pursued it...didn't see the point! But it was a welcome ego boost.

Once in a while (have to say it's rare) there is a mutual spark between two people. I seriously thought that kind of thing never happened but that is how I met my current lad: he saw me in a queue and I saw him but neither of us thought anything would ever happen. Fast forward three months.

Confidence is a winner for me.

Well,if you saw the Metro in London today you would know that this German girl took a photo of this guy she fancied on the tube, posted it round the world, finally found him and now she has a date.
So,erm, yes, that is a story which shows it can happen, albeit in a very strange, long winded way.

The title of this thread sounds like it should be the name of a bad reality show on Sky One.
fairycakes, will you go out with meeee?

In other words, anything can happen. Just don't expect anything to.

lol ive been asked out by about 8 girls on the street just randomly. I never gave them my number but yeh still go for it!
I've been chatted up at the station. He was a weirdo though, so that would have been a no. I told him that I had a boyfriend about five seconds before I got on the train (I don't, but he was being persistant) and he looked like he was going to be very cross with me. I escaped and went and had a laugh about it with my friends.

Hmm.. at least with his friends they were talking, you could always have chipped into conversation. I'd say go for it - it's not like you'll ever see them again - but I'm used to making a fool of myself on a pretty regular basis, I'm somewhat immune :p:

Edit: One of my friends I think met an ex-girlfriend of his on a train, and that ended up pretty serious. In short - why not ?

What was he doing "looing your way"?
SFC_FOREVER!
If he was carrying a rucksack, and of ethnic origin, I wouldn't advise it personally, espicially on the tube.
Hey that's mean! I've heard someone make a joke like that about me :frown:

To OP: if you like him, I guess arrange to meet him somewhere normal now lol, like a cafe or something. Good luck x

I got to the station on a sunday once at 9am..two hours before the station opened because I couldnt get there any later, this random dude came to the station too and sat outside with me while we waited for it to open. He was 20 worked in a club where i lived and was rather hot. Ended up flirting and kissing and we was taking the same train so we kissed on that too. I was only 17 so I was impressed some 20 year old was interested. He text me a few times after wanting to meet up. So yeh it can happen.
It happens alot to me, I have a boyfriend and dont really like strange men talking to me in the street or on the tube, (Most tend to be weird).

But it is nice to feel that I still have something that makes complete strangers approach me and ask me out. (Even if they are a bit weird).
