I entered as an external candidate to study economics (self taught), have completed both AS papers. Now, having enrolled at a local college to complete Maths & Economics A Level in a 1 year course, I will be applying to Unis through UCAS. These Unis say that they take a dim view of resits.

Since I have self taught econ and sat only the first 2 AS papers (edexcel), if I then go on to do the A2 exams and then complete the college course for A Level econ, would it count as a resit?

Im thinking of calling the centre and withdrawing as I dont want my self taught attempt to be viewed as a first sit then college as a resit.

Please help!
