no it does not .. coz u r just trying to assess how much u know.. hardly matters which time zone u practice. and as it is IBO hardly repeats its questions. u can just get a feel of what could come..

dont think so but its the best to do both.

our teachers give us both time zones.
ib too hard
IBO hardly repeats its questions.

Do they repeat them at all?
^sometimes you get same questions in TZ1 and TZ2. So yes they do have some similar questions but on the whole the exam papers are different

u should practice papers from all timezones to clarify that u know everything thoroughly .. don't worry about timezones while solving papers
yeah. well our teachers havent quite clued us in on what exactly papers are.
I didn't realise there were such things as TZ until we did maths revision and my teacher gave us different TZ papers. :p:
my bad. i meant "havent". i jus edited^^
have you actually seen a past IB exam paper?
 nope i havent

Ok. Each exam session, two versions of an exam paper is produced (for certain subjects - mostl math and sciences). These are called TZ (time zone) 1 and TZ 2 papers. I can never remember this but one of the TZ is taken by students from Asia, Europe and Africa and the other TZ is taken by students in America. Not sure which is which.

The point of different TZ is so that if you live in say, Canada and you have a friend in Japan, between which the time difference is like almost a day, you can't call your friend in Japan and find out what is in the exam paper. there's not much difference between TZ1 and 2 papers, no difference in the level of difficulty or the materials being examined, they are just questions either 1) worded differently or 2) different questions that end up examining the same materials.

people make a fuss out of the different TZs when they realise another version of the exam exist but really it doesn't matter which TZ papers you practice. they're all going to be the same difficulty and at the end of the day test you on the same materials.
alright that clears things up a little. i think i remember juniors last year mentioning mock exams but i'm not entirely too sure. the only thing that i've heard concerning exams is that my math teacher is gonna use like a month reviewing stuff. i've opted to take the math and psych test this year and do biology for practice, i may have even mentioned taking spanish but i dunno for sure.
