Would it be useful to own a laptop for my A-Level choices

Next year I will be studying:
-Maths and further maths
-Computer Science
-Government and politics
-Physics or economics

Do any of you have any inkling over whether a laptop of my own would be useful to bring into college?

Yes! You will definitely need a laptop for Computer Science - you'll be so much more flexible when programming and it's very useful to have your own. As for GovPol, it'll help you a lot too I guess.

I find having a laptop very useful but a pain to carry around - when I did my programming project during Christmas, I spent all my free periods on my laptop coding away in a quiet room and it's far better than going to those pesky, noisy computer rooms.
