Congratulations!

Mansfield is small but perfectly formed. More conveniently located than Magdalen in some ways, but a bit disappointing when it comes to deer parks

Revenge!

Hah. If you do you'll be tracked down by the Deer Police - new funds have given them an attack helicopter and dangerously underfed alsatians - and then forcibly fed to the dear by our rugby-playing Home Bursar!

We're a friendly lot, really...

Er.. I can't find us in the Norrington Table this year. I've searched low and low

I'm in! And we're probably beyond that kind thing, that's why.
And we're actually on it and twelfth.

Many congrats  Yes, I did know that we're on it and that we are twelfth; it wasn't meant to be a serious post.

Congratulations to all who have managed to get in, I was just wondering whether anyone has had any information yet from the college, and also whether those who are planning to study History/History and Politics have received a reading list yet?

They eventually send you a password to access an area on the college website where you can download forms and reading lists.

I can probably answer a lot of questions if anyone has any. Some of you will be my college children.

Congratulations those who are joining the illustrious ranks of Mansfield in October! As David said you'll get everything you need through in the next week or so and emails from your college parents not long after that! Actually Working - as an English student if you've got any queries before you hear from your Mum and Dad just PM me and I'll do my best to answer! As to the Norrington - 1) it's all bull**** 2) Mansfield was the biggest climber this year! :-)

Hi, they haven't routinely sent me anything, but I emailed Dr. Lacey a while back with a medieval module query as a result of which she sent me a reading list for BHIII (1330-1550). Would this be of any use to you, or are you steering clear of the Black Death and all that?

Thanks! I'll be sure to send you a message if anything comes up... I've just received a letter saying information will start to be e-mailed, and then I suppose the reading list fun begins

Just received the letter today saying that reading lists will be emailed shortly so don't worry about it, also I have never regarded myself as a particularly successful medievalist! Thanks anyway and I look forward to seeing you in October.

I still haven't had anything and I live 20 mins away from college. Never realised I could wait so long for something without going crazy.
(I have an unconditional so feel like I've been waiting forever)

I hope the lists come shortly, its only a month and a couple of weeks until we go, I really feel like I should be doing preparatory reading by now!

For all those, along with myself, applying to Mansfield College, Oxford! Who are you, what will you (hopefully) be studying and how are interviews, tests and offers going?

'Allo there!

I'm a History & Politics applicant, sitting the HAT on Wednesday () and hopefully not failing miserably

This thread seems so deserted ... I know one other Mansfield applicant who I'll try and recruit.
