Will I get credited marks for having misread the question?

Yesterday was my first A Level exam and I ****ed up so badly. The first half was fine but the essay question I answered completely wrong. I did not actually address the question properly in my answer, I talked about some relevant stuff and my essay was well written and would have been obvious I knew the facts, however it will also be obvious I didn't read the question properly. The subject was Classics and the question asked about pediments but I discussed metopes and pediments instead, so didn't actually specifically answer the question. I've had quite bad depression/anxiety recently and it was particularly overwhelming during that exam. I am an A grade student and have been all year, I also worked extremely hard just to **** it up in the exam and I'm literally distraught with myself.
I was wondering whether anyone knows if the examiner will give me credit for what I DID write that was relevant, or totally discredit the whole essay for not answering the question? i know probably not, but if anyone's been in a similar position or has any advice let me know x
