How do levels 2 and 3 differ to level 1? Is it still just assignments, or are there exams as well?

It'll tell you on the module you're interested in how it's assessed as they're all slightly different.

In my case level 2 will be my introduction to OU exams, but some level 1 courses have exams as well now.

It differs with each module. The module website for the courses you choose to do should tell you all of their assessment methods.

It has a fact box that states how many TMAs and/or iCMAs it has and whether it has an end of module assessment or examination at the end.

So check the module website, without the specific modules, no one here can give you an answer.

Ahh ok, so it's like level 1 really then, depends which modules you choose. I am doing an open degree with the inkling to go for psychology and probably the health topic.

Well level 2's will be more work, ie more reading slightly longer essays, etc and level 3 will be harder again.

Level 1's are introductory designed to bring people up to the same level of study and knowledge and it does get harder the further you get.

Yes I understand it gets harder! I just read somewhere that the higher levels require exams whereas the level 1 is 'easier' with only assignments.
