how would 37 hours per work be split over 5 working days? In a school?

Im applying for a job that is 37 hours per week in a school and just find this number odd, can't work out how it would be split

Maybe one day is shorter than the other 4 e.g., in Scotland they have a half day on Fridays (well certainly in Edinburgh)

Most 9-5 weekday jobs are 37.5 hours - ie 40hrs minus a half hour break each day. So I'm guessing in a school the hours would be like 8-4:30 or something with a lunch hour and a morning break.
7 hours and 24 minutes
It also might be a typo. Or you might have core hours and otherwise choose when you're there to make up the rest. It is a weird number.
They've just taken out your unpaid lunch/morning breaks
This is what it most likely translate into: 9-5:30 Mon-Thu and 9-5 on Fri. You get 1 hr break spread according to business needs/policy.
