Just trying to do a practice paper for a piece of dialogue in the child language acquisition section. I was wondering how to answer the audience, purpose and genre when it is just a conversation?
For example,
Texts A and B are transcripts of Jess (3 years) with her mother. In Text A they are making a jigsaw. In Text B they are looking at picture cards together.
Referring in detail to the transcripts and to relevant ideas from language study, analyse the language used by children and their caregivers.
Would the audience by just the mother and daughter in the conversation? And purpose would be to discuss the activities together?
