You guys better get your act together - we were denied a race yesterday by a catastrophic Peterhouse performance, and if we don't get a decent go at Magdalene II again on Saturday because they bump you after 150m, I won't be happy...
you seem to be assuming magdalene will be behind us on saturday. how very rude.
Haha, so what happened exactly? I know we've got a broken boat and two wet rowers, but other than that?
Well I can't say I was in the best position to see, but as we rowed past they seemed to have mounted King's rather convincingly. At this point I assumed (and hoped) that they had secured the bump, although King's' greenery indicated that there had been something of a pile-up coming into the gut. Quite how our cox got an unsteerable boat through it all, I'll never know. Broken boat and two wet rowers...? We're the real casualties - rowed ourselves into early graves to hold off Christ's at a canvas from Ditton and now we have to do it all again because those muscle-bound muppets couldn't catch King's in time. If we'd known we'd get a technical row-over by just piling into the carnage, we would have joined the fun rather than put ourselves through that hell (again).
www.rowing.ucam.org has a thread about the details; Kings cleared to the side but didn't clear in fully in time, and so Fitz managed to get between the parked Kings boat and the bank. Ouch.
wow, immense race. FaT II now top second crew, which you could see coming.. kings continuing to do well, caius bumped quick again.. oh well, at least my boat won't be the only one getting spoons. and at least jesus is sucking too..

Right, aim for tomorrow, don't give Christs II blades
Denying people blades is always sweeeeeet. Good luck with it! Can't remember what I'm doing tomorrow but I should be out there most of the day. Also am v impressed with Clare M1, going for the b-words tomorrow, but even if they don't get it they've done awesomely!
