My lycra hasn't arrived yet . I feel guilty rowing in a senior (well, technically, at least...) boat in jogging bottoms and tshirts.
Oh, rubbish to that! I only ever had a tiny collection of lycra. As long as it doesn't catch in the slide or get uncomfortable, does it really matter what it looks like?
I doubt any of them have won a side-by-side ARA regatta?
Nor have quite a lot of senior college crews. I'm not sure what point that's supposed to make?
Once you start town rowing, the term 'novice' does change a bit! I had 6 tub outings before I even set foot in an eight...
I think lots of colleges would love to be able to do this, and it would mean that people had a bit more of a clue in those lovely first few weeks of Mich term. Unfortunately, given the way the terms and the novice competitions work, that's just not feasible.

It's alright, i've been doing that for about a year, until i eventually caved in at the end of last term... Like someone said, as long as nothing catches in anything else, it doesn't really matter

But stash! I said stash, how can you not like stash. Did you hear me right, there's stash. Seriously, I love stash. If there was no stash in rowing I would be much less keen for it.
I just did a 2k test, I want to vomit and curl up and cry myself to death. But I did set a PB!
I'd be more keen for stash in rowing if it didn't cost so much money, and wasn't quite so unattractive when on me... I don't have the legs for rowing stash... But mainly it's expensive...
I have a 2k in 40 minutes... urgh... *crawls to the corner to curl up and hope it goes away*

Just get really really good and trial for heavyweights. Then they *give* you stash.
