Which TOK Title did you choose?

Just thinking everyone could help each other with advice on tackling questions or just stating which question they are doing, see how the spread is.

Myself, I'm doing question 1 (Evaluate the roll of intuition in different areas of knowledge)...

I think "context is all" is speaking on sense of historical and literary things. Context of a person or time.

yeah i tried, but the cliffnotes and stuff just say that she keeps repeating the sentence many times in the story =x

haha i was thinking context as in a specific situation, like truth can exist if we set boundaries VS truth can exist universally. Do you think thats what it means?

i start my second year in march so i still hace some time to decide but at the moment i just read the titles over and over again trying to get some sense of them

Question... when people think about IB, does anyone else get a visual image of several tall, dark cloaked figures standing around a large class cabinet in which there are hundred of little mice running around on spinning wheels? with the tall, cloaked figures occasionally stopping to poke them with long sticks?

When I think of TOK I think of our bald overweight teacher who thinks that a PhD gave him the divine authority to decide what is right and what isn't (philosophically and otherwise); and who seems drunk or high most of the time.
I also think of the time when a friend of mine was doing his TOK oral and 'Mr. TOK' sat back in his chair, closed his eyes for 5 minutes as if asleep and then proceeded to make weird grunting and bored sighing noises whilst rubbing his face. Rubbing his face for a very long time.
I also think of handing him the exact same paper twice and getting wildly different marks.
I also think of him grading people randomly, not according to actual performance but according to the drug he's on that day (alcohol & crack = bad; pot & heroin = good).

Wow that does sound horrible. I strongly suggest supplying him with pot and heroin before your presentation then.

question 4 - does the role of language...

i regret doing picking this topic!!! ive finished my first draft and when i read over it...im like...wth am i on abt!!! my tok essay is due in the end of this mont (29th june) and im thinknig of changing to another essay topic =.=!

coz i really dont know how to make my essay better (A standard) ...but first, let me get my mid yr exams over then ill deal with Tok!

We do 2 in IB1 and 2 in IB2

Last year I did Reason & Emotion (topic 2) and Context is All (topic 10)

Ugh, topic 10 is deadly.

Doing Language in AoK (topic 4) right now.... feels doomed
