Sam, The halls all are hooked up to the university network, Just need to bring an ethernet cable so you can hook up to it. The internet is included in the price of the room (Im pretty sure that applys to most halls.) and its pretty fast.

what are the limits for using the internet? are games and download sites blocked?

Well, Some things will not work as they are blocked such as if you play any multiplayer internet type games possibly, and from my experience downloading is veeery slow, purposely to try and put you off. (Well thats what I was told, who knows.)
