I know my school would lend everyone textbooks, but I prefer to also have my own copy to be safe for annotations etc. (Currently I'm in Year 11, and I'll be Year 12 from September)

The bookstores sell AS chemistry textbooks for AQA, which is my exam board, but the specification is changing (so I'll be under new spec). The copyright notice says 'Ted Lister and Janet Renshaw 2014', but says 'first published by Nelson Thornes Ltd. In 2008'). Are these textbooks new specification or old specification (as I don't know all the differences between the two).

Probably old, but it will contain most of the same stuff, I'd imagine. Having a wide array of resources is a good thing, at any rate.
