For History you need to have got 80% at AS level, and then your A2 result+ AS result must = 90% for an A*. Others work differently.
You are mistaken, The rules are the same for all domestic exam boards (AQA, CCEA, Edxcel, OCR & WJEC) and for all subjects except Maths. History is no different to everyhting else.
You need at least 80% overall and at least 90% at A2.

You are incorrect. Ignorance is a virtue sometimes, but not always.
I do not need to, seeing as most of my 8 A2s are OCR, and I am well aware of the procedure. Although, given it is me, I rarely bother myself with boundaries, as they are inconsequential for me.

What relevance does your A levels being OCR have? They are still bound by JCQ regulations.

Because your little reading up homework has left you fighting a corner which you do not know anything about. Anyway, I am tired of this discussion, good day.
How about an A. If i get 70% ums at as average for instance in computing, would i need 80% average in my a2 exams? but that averages overall to 75%?
For an A you need 80% overall, so you'd need 90% or above in total from A2 (70+90)/2 = 80. So, without resits, it's pretty much impossible to get an A without getting an A* in the process, which is a good thing.

Hmm, so getting an A* is easier than getting an A. For a* you need 80+90/2=85%, but for a, you need 70+90/2=80%.
