Nose Job

Hi,

I'm thinking of having a nose job (or rhinoplasty to give it its medical name)-i'm a guy by the way if that alters your opinion in any way. I just wanted to hear from anyone else who's had the procedure done and how, if at all, its changed their life. I know this is entirely subjective and dependent on an individual's circumstances but it'd be great to hear from you anyway.

Any comments welcome and feel free to send me a private message if you prefer

i think especially if you're a guy it has the potential to be really effective - girls can do things to alter their appearance more favourabley ie makeup, hair etc but men are pretty much stuck with what they have.

if you genuinely feel as though your nose is holding you back, i say go for it. just make sure you get a good surgeon who doesn't end up making you look like whacko jacko, and also don't have unrealistic expectations ie don't think that having a straighter/smaller/less lumpy/whatever nose will suddenly make you brad pitt.

be realistic and safe, do your research and good luck  xxx

:ditto:

This is one of the times when the money is worth it. If you're going to do it, good luck. But, ask for photos of your surgeons works, and look at many different surgeons.

And go for a mid price one at the least - there is no point in paying again for someone to correct the mistakes when you can't breathe.

Hi, iv had my nose done, it was last april. Its really made a difference to my self confidence and the way I think about myself so i'd say if you wanna get it done then go for it!

Also, were u thinking about going to your doctor about this as I got it done on the nhs, can I ask exactly what is wrong with it that makes you want to have it done? Have you had it broken?

Yeah, really check out the person who's going to do it. I'm arranging liposuction at the moment and a lot of the cheaper places make a big deal of saying that their surgeons are registered with the General Medical Council but when you look into it they aren't registered with the other organisations who really matter, like BAAPS. Some of them don't even seem to have a specific qualification in costmetic surgery. So do your research very thoroughly

I used to have this obsession with how much I hated my nose and I was so sure that I'd get it fixed. I still dont like it but I think I'm getting over letting it fixate my life.

Would still be nice to have a pretty nose though... I'll think about it more seriously when I have some money to burn.

Your nose is so not the drama! But you can fix your bare-ish wall up with lots more cool, interesting things.
Actually, Men have more options in covering up their flaws. They can grow facial hair. You can hide soft jowls, baby faces, make your nose seem smaller, basically everything.

Im thinking of getting my nose re shaped in the future when finances allow. Do you mind if you send me what kind of price and where your doing it?

I havent done a thorough research as of yet.

My nose is chubby lol, looks like its been on roids and has been working out, as if I play rugby but my face isnt big so it doesnt exactly suit. Never had a bad comment or notice people look at it but its just how I perceive it.

Bud, all I say is obviously do your research and make sure its what you really want, if you go for it, good luck!

i want to have a nose job...but then I dont...i see people that do have it done and its so OBVIOUS...you can almost always spot someone who's had their nose/eyes done...its really common for oriental people I think..especially eyes!
not actually - a successfull operation won't be noticed and you won't notice you didn't notice.

ignorant of your ignorance if you follow me...

You cannot tell if some1 has had it done! The only way some1 could tell is if they know that person in which cause they can tell because they notice the difference! If you saw some1 in the street who'd had it done you would not be able to tell, theres no scars or anything, trust me, I know!

Be less self concious. If you gotta get it done, then you gotta get it done. I've never really seen the point, but then again I've never needed to change anything about myself. I'm the perfect person.

Also, I've heard that you can't put your fingers up your nostrils after you get a nose job, they shrink or something. Might be a big down point there.
